In the icy wilderness of 9th-century Scandinavia, a fierce young warrior named Runa lived with her family on the edge of a dark, ancient forest. Life was harsh, and the people feared the woods, whispering of dark spirits and ancient curses. But Runa was no ordinary Viking—she was a huntress, skilled with a bow and armed with a secret power inherited from her ancestors.
One fateful night, Runa’s father, a seasoned warrior, failed to return from a hunting expedition deep in the cursed forest. The village elders warned against searching for him, but Runa’s heart burned with a sense of duty and an unshakable belief that her father was still alive. Ignoring their warnings, she armed herself and ventured into the forest, guided only by the faint glow of a mysterious rune etched onto her palm—a mark she had discovered on her sixteenth birthday.
As she delved deeper into the forest, Runa encountered terrifying creatures—half-dead, half-alive, remnants of ancient warriors bound by dark magic. She fought them off with unmatched skill, her rune glowing brighter with each victory, guiding her through the darkness.
At the heart of the forest, she discovered an ancient burial ground, the air thick with the stench of death and decay. There, she found her father, bound and unconscious, surrounded by a circle of undead warriors, led by a cursed Viking warlord who had been banished from Valhalla centuries ago.
The warlord sought to use the Rune of the Dead, the very mark on Runa’s palm, to unleash an army of the undead upon the world. But Runa, channeling the power of the rune, unleashed a blinding light, banishing the warlord and his minions back to the underworld.
As the forest returned to silence, Runa carried her father home, knowing she had not only saved him but also protected her village from a dark, ancient evil. The Rune of the Dead had chosen her, and with it, she would become the fiercest Viking warrior her people had ever known.
